The world needs energy and natural resources. Asia’s growth is putting longer-term pressure on natural resource prices. The inflation/deflation theme is also a driver relative to the attractiveness of commodities. In a deflationary scenario, commodities become quite a bit less attractive. We are not blindly bullish on commodities, but we do respect global demand growth and demand driven by those in search of hard assets over paper currencies.
